Van Alstyne Junior High was placed in a Hold status this afternoon, in accordance with the Standard Response Protocol, due to a medical emergency. As a precaution, students and staff were asked to remain in their classrooms to keep the hallways clear while EMS responded. The family of the individual involved has been contacted directly by campus administration.

Classroom learning continued throughout the Hold, and all school operations have returned to normal. The safety and security of your child is our top priority. We will continue to keep you informed about important concerns at our school.
